A Boy Named Sioux
Outlaw Country & Southern Rock

The band, led by R.E. Toner on vocals and acoustic, successfully blends "Outlaw Country" with a touch of southern rock and some homegrown Arizona style. Sioux has its own original sound influenced by Waylon Jennings, CDB, Hank Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd and Arizona Native Roger Clyne. Rob, also an Arizona native, started the band in 2007 when he wrote and produced the first record on his own using a cast of characters, and meshing many musical styles...

A Boy Named Sioux came crashing out of the gates and haven't slowed down since...They won the Phoenix New Times Best of Phoenix award 2008 for "Best Local Band". In 2008 and also took the award for "Best Musical Group" at the Phoenix Music Awards and 2009 They won "Country Group of the Year" at the Phoenix/L.A. Music Awards. They have opened for Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Justin Moore, Keith Urban, Shurman and other national acts. They have also been involved with the Tempe Tostitos Fiesta Bowl New Years Eve Block Party as well as The P.F. Changs Rock & Roll Marathon. ABNS is currently Working on their second album and are looking to release it late summer/early fall.
